Obituary

Dominick Anthony Fazio, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York, died peacefully at home on May 14, at the age of 99, surrounded by his children.

Dom was a loyal and caring son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, friend, and neighbor. Dom was born to Italian immigrant parents. He lost his father early in his life, leaving his mother to raise him and his six siblings. It was there where Dom learned the importance of being a responsible, caring, and compassionate family member and human being. Dom lived true to his values until he took his final breath. Throughout his life, Dom found great solace as a practicing Catholic in an abiding faith in Jesus Christ.

Dom proudly served his country as a Marine in the Pacific Theater in World War II. That experience taught him the discipline to take care of himself. He stayed athletic and physically fit his entire life. He worked tirelessly, hand in hand with our mom, in their home in Bay Ridge where he happily raised his children. Always upbeat and fun to be around, caring for his family was everything to our dear father. He will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th at 10:30 in the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola located on Park Avenue, between East 83rd and 84th streets in New York City. All who knew Dom are welcome to attend.
