We gather to celebrate the life of Dolores Eifert, lovingly known to many as "Grandma Dee," who passed away on March 14, 2026.

Dolores was a woman whose presence filled a room with laughter. She had a sharp wit, an electric smile, and a famously no-nonsense attitude that those who loved her will never forget. To spend time with Grandma Dee was to spend time laughing.

She found joy in life's simplest pleasures like reading a good book, baking something delicious, sharing stories, and most of all, spending time with the people she loved. Whether she was carefully crafting her glass dolls or baking one of her famous cheesecakes, Dee put her heart and care into everything she did. Her greatest wish was always to make sure the people around her felt loved and taken care of.

Dee also had a special love for dogs. She took great pride in her beautiful collies, Sam and Honey, who were her constant companions and brought her endless joy. She spoke of them often and cared for them with the same devotion she showed to everything and everyone she loved. We would be remiss to not mention her favorite conversationalist, Duke, whom she swore would one day talk back!

Dolores is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Miskel, Sr. in 1983 and her second husband James Eifert in 1987. She is survived by her brother, Anthony (Jackie) Millevoi, Jr., her children, Lori (James) Pender and Joseph (Patricia) Miskel, Jr., and by her six grandchildren: Sarah (Michael Carbone) Pender, James Pender, Jr., Kelly Pender, Victoria (Alexander Clark) Miskel, Arianna (Michael Passalacqua) Miskel, and Joseph Miskel, III. They, along with many other family members and friends, will carry forward the laughter, stories, and love she gave so freely.

Grandma Dee will be remembered for her humor, her warmth, and the way she made every moment together feel special. Though she will be deeply missed, the laughter she brought into the lives of those who knew her will live on forever. She will be laid to rest with her first husband and father of her children, Joseph Miskel, Sr., at Holy Cross Cemetery in Jamesburg, New Jersey.
