Diane was born in Ironwood, Michigan on July 8, 1953 to Carl (Hank) and Marcia Dahlin. Diane graduated from Superior High School in 1971 and from UW Oshkosh in 1975. Diane worked for the State of New York her entire career, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was particularly proud of her daughter Leigh, who was her greatest joy. Some of her happiest times were spent over the years in the sun at the family cabin at Lake Dowling, at summer reunions at Lake Dowling and Rose Lake, at Pete's family's summer home in Bridgehampton, New York, at the New Jersey shore, and near the pool at their home in Boynton Beach. She was preceded in death by her father Carl (Hank), her mother Marcia, her grandparents, her mother-in-law, Annie Johnson, and her brother, Carl. Diane is survived by her husband Pete Johnson, one daughter Leigh, sister Debbie (Dan) Woods, brother David (Sue) Dahlin, sister-in-law Kathy Dahlin, nieces and nephews Chris(Brittney) Dahlin, Meghan Dahlin, Andy (Korina) Torzewski, Geoff Torzewski, Lauren (Rigoberto) Rodriguez, Marc Dahlin, former brother-in-law John Torzewski, and dear friends Cathy, Roy, and Jeremy Starrin.
