David Curtis Doll
February 24, 1957 - April 19, 2022
Son, brother and uncle, David Curtis Doll, was born and raised "heck" in Bay Ridge his entire life. Mischievous and always fun to be with, he was a Brooklynite to the core. He was predeceased by his father, Bruce and mother, Midgie and grand niece, Julia. He is survived by brothers Daniel (Laraine) and Bruce (Mary), nephews Steven, Bill, Byron, and Eric and niece Emily as well as grand nephews and nieces: Aurora, Stella, Cameron and Bennett. David thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, taking several week long hikes through the Grand Canyon and many trips to the Catskills and Adirondacks in NY and the White Mountains in New Hampshire. He luxuriated in the waters of the Saco River when not tasting the heavenly delights of local corn-on-the-cobb. His love of water reached the peak of delight when he swam in the glacial waters of Alaska. He pursued music, joining several bands as a bass player and singer. His musical tastes were broad, though he favored the Grateful Dead and understandably was proud of his time with the Dead Ridge Band – forever memorialized on YouTube. His quick humor and selfless attitude always endeared him to all he met. We appreciate all the support he has received from all his friends. David will be missed and remembered for the joy he brought.
