IN LOVING MEMORY OF
David Brion
Anderson
June 9, 2024
David Brion Anderson passed away peacefully on June 9, 2024, with his two daughters, Emily and Meghan, by his side. David battled several illnesses during his last few years, including beating cancer twice along with several heart-related issues.
David was born in Boston on August 26, 1959. His family resided in several different states during his childhood, including West Virginia, Ohio, New Jersey, Florida, and New York. Ultimately, he remained in Brooklyn, where his family was deeply rooted, to begin the next chapter of his life.
David established a family of his own in Brooklyn where he raised his two "darling daughters." He was an active participant in their lives, lovingly known as the king of morning carpool, always cheering loudly at their sporting events, and proudly celebrating their academic successes.
David was a beloved friend and supportive co-worker. He had a long career as a finance manager in the automobile industry. He will be remembered as someone who was always up for a good conversation, whether to talk about the industry or New York sports, and most especially as a devoted Mets and Jets fan.
David had a vibrant, fun-loving personality. He was a wonderful "talker" and always up for a funny photo. He was constantly taking pictures at every event, no matter how big or small. David loved to laugh, and to make people laugh. You could hear his big belly laugh from miles away, and he was rarely seen without a big smile. In his free time, David loved socializing with his friends, playing cards, going golfing and talking sports.
David is predeceased by his father, Kenneth, his mother, Marion, his brothers, Kenneth and Daniel, and his sisters, Elizabeth and Marion (Tish). He is survived by his daughters, Emily and Meghan, his brother, Matthew, and his niece and nephew, SallyAnn and Brian.
David always said his greatest achievement in life was being a dad. He loved his daughters more than anything, and never failed to express this love to anyone who would listen. His girls, known to him affectionately as "Doodles" and "Nutmeg," were his pride and joy. His daughters will miss their Daddy deeply and will continue to love him, as he always said to them, "forever and a day."
