Catherine Vignola passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.

Catherine was born to Maria and Joseph Campione on November 26, 1927 on Warren street in Brooklyn . She spent most of her life in Brooklyn; marrying and settling on 77th Street in Bay Ridge to raise her children.

Cathie loved spending time with her family, especially trips to Atlantic City with her beloved mom and Ocean City vacations with her children and grandchildren. She loved Manhattan, taking full advantage of all it had to offer: Broadway, the NYC Ballet, restaurants and shopping! One of her greatest joys was being a Peter Allen fan, following his music and tours across the country.

In 2005, Cathie retired after 25 years as a medical office manager and moved to her dream home in Staten Island. She attended St. Anselm Young at Heart group weekly and spent her days caring for her grandkids, solving crypto-quotes, playing mahjong on her ipad and watching her favorite NY Mets.

Catherine is the beloved mother of Christopher, Michele, Geraldine and Adele; devoted grandmother of Coral, Chris, Jayson, Katie, Ali, Michael, Davis, Joseph and Grace; loving great-grandmother of Nicole, Owen, Addison, Joseph, Michael and Sophia; cherished great-great-grandmother of Kylie; dearest sister to John.

Catherine's family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and social workers of University Hospice of Staten Island.

To Marta, her angel and caregiver, we are eternally grateful for making our mom's last year as comfortable and peaceful as it could be.
