Catherine R. Baumer (nee Boyle)
September 15, 1926 - December 5, 2022

Catherine was born in Brooklyn, NY the fifth of the eleven children of James Boyle and Mary Thompson. As was the custom in large families Catherine took on many of the home responsibilities becoming an almost second mother to her youngest siblings. During the early years of WW II, she met Nelson who after his wartime service in the US Navy would go on to be her husband for the next 55 years until his passing in 2001. Together they endured the loss of their first infant son William and went on to parent 2 additional boys, Nelson and William James. Catherine took extraordinary delight in her nephews and nieces, in her sons and in her two granddaughters Fiona and Megan. We are all sure that her role as a great grandmother brought her much joy and lengthened her time with us.

Catherine's loss is mourned by: surviving siblings Tom and Ann Marie; surviving son Nelson and his wife, Donna; Granddaughters Fiona and Megan and their respective spouses Keh Li and Brandon; the great grands Ambrose, Mairead, Ronan and Faye; Catherine's dearest friend Rosaleen and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
