Bridget Ryan, 84, passed away on Friday August 21, 2026, at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn.

She was born on July 20, 1942, in Fairymount, Roscommon County, Ireland to Patrick & Bridget Fetherston. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and settled in the Bronx where she married Bill Ryan and had four children. She moved to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn in 1973, where she would live for fifty years. She worked as a nurse, spending most of her career at Victory Memorial Hospital in Brooklyn. She was known for being very caring, devoutly faithful, and proud of her heritage. She loved her family very much, and always cherished holidays and events where the family would come together, most notably, Christmas, where she poured her soul into making a festive atmosphere for all. She enjoyed being surrounded by beauty and collecting antique China. She had a passion for gardening and grew many plants. She was a cat-lover and took care of several cats.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, brother Patrick Fetherston, and sister Mary Clarke (nee) Fetherston. She is survived by her daughter and three sons; Billy, Carol, Michael, & Kevin Ryan, four grandsons; Jake Behr, Liam, Ian, & Evan Ryan, surviving brothers, John & Joseph Fetherston, sisters Peggy Burke, Theresa Moroney, & Carmel Pass, as well as her nieces and nephews in the US, UK, & Ireland.
