It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Douglas Coad at the age of 67.

Brian was born in St. Louis, Missouri to William and Dorothy Coad. A graduate of St. Louis University High School, he received his bachelor degree from the College of William and Mary and his juris doctor from Georgetown Law.

Brian loved practicing law almost as much as he loved the theater. His acting skills enhanced his trial performances. Brian loved being an assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he worked most of his career.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen née Erickson, and his adoring sons Ryan and Christopher. He is also survived by his brother Dennis (Tom), cousins, and many friends.

Brian's love of his family was evident to all who knew him. He followed his children around with his camcorder, attended all their sporting events, plays, recitals, and events.

He will be forever missed
