Barbara Clausen was born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on January 29,1941 to Claudius Peter Clausen and Aagot Hansen. She was sister to the late Peter Raymond Clausen.

In 1958, she graduated from Fort Hamilton High School and was nominated the Prom Queen.

Barbara's hobbies included painting still life pictures, talking politics, and reading. She especially loved reading mysteries. She was a great fan of author, Agatha Christi.

Much of her time was spent rescuing dogs and feral cats. She was a certified TNR for feral cats. She made many generous contributions to animals in need. She had a heart of gold.

Barbara will be sadly missed by her friends.
