Obituary

Barbara Ann Cardone was born on February 10th, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to Loretta and Pete Cardone.  She passed away on April 8th, 2020 after spending six months in and out the hospital.  Barbara was 60 years old at her time of death.  She spent most of her life in Brooklyn and later in life moved to Staten Island, where she made a home and built a life with her love, Danny Dalton.   Barbara never had any children of her own but she treated every single one of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children.  She also loved her dogs and cats.  She even took care of the neighborhood animals who had no homes.   Barbara spent her whole life battling stomach illnesses and complications due to an Immune Deficiency Disorder, that was only appropriately diagnosed and treated later in her life.  She left a career working on Wall Street because of her sicknesses and she spent the rest of her years helping others.  In 2019, she was additionally diagnosed with Lung Cancer.  Despite how much she suffered and how ill she felt all these years, Barbara continued to be the life of the party, a shoulder to cry on and a helper to all.  She would move mountains for the ones she cared about, and she would treat a stranger in need just the same.  She enjoyed her time at their lake house upstate and hosting family holidays and get togethers.

Barbara leaves behind her loving mother, Loretta Cardone, the love of her life, Danny Dalton, and her two sisters Debbie (Vafiadou) and Linda (Lane). In addition, Barbara leaves behind her greatly adored nieces and nephews, as well as her grandnieces and nephews.  She has now joined her beloved brother, Gregg Cardone, Sr. in Heaven.
