Bruzzese, of Warwick, NY passed away on January 24, 2015 at Nyack Hospital. She was 75 years old. Born on February 4, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John F. Bonkowski and Jean Czerniawski. Prior to retiring, she was an Administrative Officer with the New York News, Bureau of Voice of America. She was a member of St. Stephen RC Church in Warwick, where she had taught CCD classes. Previously, she was an active member of St. Michaels Church, Brooklyn. She is survived by her daughter, Jean-Marie Bruzzese and her wife Karen Zanelli of Staten Island; her son, John D. Bruzzese of Chester; her grandchildren: Ben, Emily, Johnny and Lauren; her brothers: John Bonkowski and his wife Loretta, and Alan Bonkowski and his wife Patty MacDuff. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29th, from 4:00-8:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Additional visitation will be on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Clavin Funeral Home, 7722 4th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Saturday at St. Michaels RC Church, 352 42nd St., Brooklyn, NY, followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
