IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anna Elisa
Janssen
March 4, 2026
Anna was born in Hatillo, Puerto Rico and raised in New York City, where she later married and raised a family of her own.
She is survived by her children: Sally and her husband Charles Beehn; Lorraine and her husband Brendan Rooney; Lisa and her husband Barry Friedberg; Denise and her husband Rodney Dolan; and her son Anthony Velazquez and his wife Antha.
She was a proud grandmother to Anna Elisa Rooney, her husband Fernando Rodrigues, Blaise Rooney, James Dolan, Andrew Dolan, and Benjamin Friedberg and a loving great-grandmother to Alessandro Rodrigues and Danilo Rodrigues.
Anna also leaves behind her beloved brother and sister-in-law, Luis and Lourdes Colon. She adored her nieces and nephews and loved them as if they were her own.
Anna was a warm and generous person with a big spirit. She was a wonderful cook, and you could always find a meal or a shoulder to cry on at her home. Her motto was "Mi casa es su casa."
Anna had a great sense of humor, and at times her humor could be a little saucy.
She was a woman of deep faith and believed strongly in the power of prayer. Anna served as the Sacristan at Our Lady of Perpetual Help until her retirement. She truly enjoyed her time there and believed it was not just a job, but a calling.
May her legacy of faith, love, and laughter live on in each and every one of us.
