Anna Marie Donnelly (nee Marich) of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 at the accomplished age of 99.9 years.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, John F., her siblings George and Lillian, and her brother in law Mal Tannahill, Anna is survived by her loving and devoted daughters Patricia McLaughlin (John) and Maureen O'Mara (Richard), as well as her sister Eva Tannahill. Anna was blessed and so very proud of her four loving grandchildren – Connor, Christopher, John, and Kaitlin. She was also a loving aunt and Godmother to Karen Scura (Michael).

Born in Ridgewood on May 27, 1920 to Anthony and Mary Marich, Anna was a resident of Brooklyn her entire life. Anna had a career at Domino Sugar, where her friend ("Irish Mary") introduced her to her beloved Jack, whom she married on May 11, 1957.

Anna's interests included The Married Woman's Society, The Holy Name Society at OLPH, the Girl Scouts, and the Senior Citizens' Club at OLPH and OLA. Once retired, Jack and she enjoyed traveling the country on bus excursions to different states and spending time with family. Anna's hobbies included crocheting, bowling, trips to Atlantic City, lottery scratch-offs, and reading. Her guilty pleasures included pierogies, blintzes, and strawberry shortcake.

Nothing gave her more joy than spending holidays and special occasions surrounded by family and friends. Whether leading the group in song or storytelling, or reminiscing about the past with pictures and pride, Anna reveled in making memories. Her ready smile, playful nature, and love of song and laughter will forever be missed by those who knew and loved her so. May the road rise to meet her, and may God take her gently into the palm of His hand.
