Quirk, Alice D. RN, MS (nee Quinn) on September 5, 2024. Predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, William T., her loving parents James & Margaret Quinn. Survived by her devoted children Dennis (the late Doreen: Alicia), Maureen Quirk, William J. (Eden), Laurette Kading, Kevin T. (Deirdre). Proud grandmother of Keri Fortel (the late Howard), Doreen Quirk, Susan Quirk (Steve), Janet Quirk(Chet), Joseph (Nicole Marie), Christopher & Brian Ramey, Samantha Quirk (Michael), William T. (Kristie), Shannon Alice (Anthony), Sean Liam, Kaitlin Kading (Justin), Kevin T. & Thomas W. Dear great grandmother of Emma & Lindsay Fortel, Alessandra Tormenia (Michael), Brianna Tormenia, Anna Doreen & Antonia Lanni, Kaylee & Dilan Prusak, Skylar & Joseph Quirk, Liam J. Quirk. Loving sister of the late Edward, Robert, & Margaret. Also survived by many loving nieces & nephews. Finally, she had great affection for grand dogs Bailey, Mocha, Maggie, Jude, Sophie, & Dolce.

Alice went back to school when her youngest started elementary school to attain her bachelor's degree in nursing and later completed a master's degree in hospital administration. She began her nursing career at Victory memorial Hospital and later worked for the New York State inspecting nursing homes. Alice returned to Victory Memorial Hospital taking a role in Quality Assurance & eventually retired as the Assistant Administrator. Alice was highly respected & known for her care & compassion that the patients always came first.

One of Alice's favorite pastimes was shopping and always researching how she could get the best deal. It was a sport for her, and she was a champion at it. She would take two busses and a train to go to a good sale at Bloomingdales in NYC searching for a new special item usually at 50% off. She loved flowers and plants maintaining an impressive collection of indoor plants, some passed down from her mother from over 50 years ago. Although she never went to a NY Giants Football Game she was an avid fan and would aways watch the game on TV. She loved her late husband Bill, and now after many years apart, they are now together.
