Alice was born in 1942 to the late Alice and John Sabbagh. Joanie, as we all called her, was a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend to so many. She married the love of her life, Adel Gorayeb, and moved to Lebanon where she gave birth to three children, Jim, Helen, and Christine. After the death of her husband, she returned to the United States and worked hard to provide for her family. She worked for many years for a wonderful family, the law firm of Leon Katz, and his sons, David and Ronnie.

Joanie suffered a tragic loss when her youngest daughter Christine passed away at the age of 29. She was able to carry on even though her heart was forever broken. She adored and loved her family and friends. Her door was always open to all. Joanie was always up for a party, always the life of the party, dressed to the nines, and always showing off her dancing skills.

She is survived by her daughter Helen, her son Jim, her dear friend Roger, her sister, Eleanor Sabbagh, her brother in law Antoine Gorayeb, her sister in laws, Marie Sabbagh, Cathy Donnecke, Norma Burgaretta, her loving nieces , Susan, Allison, Louise, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Nicole, many great nieces and nephews, many loving cousins and dear special friends.

Her brother, Raymond George Sabbagh joined her in eternal peace just one day before her passing.
