IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Albert J.
Brown
November 8, 2024
Albert Joseph Brown, 78, of Brooklyn, NY , peacefully passed away on November 8, 2024. Albert's journey in life began on March 12, 1946, in Flatbush, Brooklyn. He was the oldest of four; Regina, Robert (Jayne), and Maryann, born to Albert J. Brown and Regina Rock. Albert was drafted into the United States Marine Corps in 1966. Albert served in the Vietnam War; after 13 months he was honorably discharged. After serving, Albert joined the New York City Housing Police Department in 1970. Then he pursued his education at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, NY , where he met his future wife, Roseanne Pepenella. Albert and Roseanne married on November 20, 1976, in Avenel, NJ. They went on to have six amazing children Dawn Marie (Ronald Yates), Carrie-ann (Michael Triscuizzi), Albert Joseph "AJ" (Shamecka), Elisabeth (Eugene Ott), Laura Rose (Justin Chase), and Lisa Marie (Joshua Hunt). He was Poppy to nine grandchildren; Alyssa, Ashley, Michael, Savannah, Wyatt, Hunter, Layla, Ryden, and Nova. Albert was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. In 2000, Albert retired as a Captain for the New York City Police Department, after 30 years of service. After retiring, Albert loved traveling with his wife to Hawaii (his favorite), Las Vegas, and Florida. Albert enjoyed going to the gym, chatting with his neighbors and those who crossed his path. He logged many miles traveling to visit his children and grandchildren, always making sure he was present at important events and birthdays. He spent many weekends with his family at their upstate residence in the Catskills. Albert could be heard yelling at the TV as he watched his favorite teams, the NY Giants and Mets. You could always find numerous snacks by his side, and no donut was safe. Albert loved his family more than anything and leaves behind an unforgettable legacy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
